21Shares, an asset management firm, has applied to launch a spot Polkadot ETF amidst the surge in new crypto ETF filings in the U.S. The firm has filed with the US SEC to introduce the 21Shares Polkadot Trust on the Cboe BZX exchange, with Coinbase as the DOT custodian.
This move comes after 21Shares launched a similar product in Switzerland four years ago. In February 2021, the asset manager also introduced the world’s first Polkadot ETP on the Swiss SIX exchange.
