5 Things to Know About the Shop Your Way 5321 Card

The $0-annual-fee Shop Your Way 5321 Visa Credit Card, issued by First Bank & Trust, offers elevated rewards in key spending categories. Cardholders can earn 5% back on gas and 3% back on groceries, dining, and travel, making it competitive in popular categories. However, shortly after its launch in November 2025, the card stopped accepting applications from the general public and now requires an invitation to apply.

One downside of the Shop Your Way 5321 card is the lack of upfront incentives typically found on other rewards credit cards. There is currently no welcome bonus for new applicants, nor is there an introductory APR period. Additionally, the value of the rewards earned with this card is relatively low, requiring cardholders to do some calculations when redeeming them. A general non-branded cash-back credit card might offer more simplicity and flexibility in this regard.

It’s important to note that the Shop Your Way 5321 Card is distinct from the previously offered Shop Your Way Mastercard, which was discontinued in 2025. To obtain the new Shop Your Way 5321 card, applicants must apply directly, even if they had the previous version.

The card’s rewards categories are practical, with cash back earned in the form of Shop Your Way points. Cardholders can earn 5% back on gas and transportation purchases, 3% back on dining, groceries, and travel, 2% back on Shop Your Way merchant purchases, and 1% back on all other purchases. While keeping track of multiple categories can be challenging, the uncapped rewards in the 5x and 3x categories make it appealing for many consumers.

Although the points earned with the Shop Your Way 5321 card have a low value, cardholders receive a significant number of points per dollar spent. Redemption options are flexible, allowing points to be used for statement credit, Shop Your Way purchases, or gift cards. However, points expire one year after they’re earned, so cardholders need to stay mindful of their point balances.

In terms of additional perks, the Shop Your Way 5321 card falls short compared to other rewards cards. While cardholders may receive occasional limited-time bonus offers, the card lacks significant additional benefits beyond its rewards and Visa network protections.

When considering fees and interest, it’s essential to be mindful of any potential costs associated with the Shop Your Way 5321 card. While it has no annual fee, cardholders should be aware of any fees or interest charges that may apply.

Overall, the Shop Your Way 5321 Visa Credit Card offers valuable rewards in key spending categories, but potential applicants should consider its limitations and weigh them against their individual preferences and needs.
