American Express has announced that existing cardholders can continue using their cards without any impact. They have also provided details about the benefits of the now-unavailable cards and suggested alternative options for those interested.

The American Express Cash Magnet® Card, which used to offer a flat 1.5% cash back on all eligible purchases, was a popular choice in 2018. However, there are now other cards in the market that offer better flat-rate rewards, such as the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card and the Citi Double Cash® Card.

Another card, the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card, may not be a top rewards-earner, but it stands out for earning valuable American Express Membership Rewards points. Holders can earn 2 points per dollar spent at U.S. supermarkets and on eligible travel purchases, and 1 point per dollar on other purchases.

For those looking for cards with annual fees, the American Express® Gold Card and the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express are worth considering. The Gold Card has an annual fee of $325 and offers valuable benefits, while the Blue Cash Everyday® Card has no annual fee and earns cash back on various categories.

The Amex EveryDay® Preferred Credit Card, with an annual fee of $95, is another option for those interested in earning Membership Rewards points. Alternatively, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is a good choice for travel and everyday spending, offering various rewards for different categories.

Please note that all information about the cards mentioned has been collected independently by BW. The cards are no longer available through BW.

To view specific rates and fees of these cards, you can visit the official American Express website.
