As residents in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast continue to recover from the recent snow and rain storm, there is a potential for another winter storm to impact the Interstate 95 highway network just before the Thanksgiving travel holiday. According to private weather forecaster BAMWX, there is a chance of a winter storm affecting the region around Thanksgiving, with a possibility of 4 inches or more of snow on Wednesday into Thursday.

FOX Weather meteorologist Cody Braud also mentioned the likelihood of a system bringing strong winds, rain, and possibly snow, which could lead to challenging travel conditions on Friday. In addition, there are indications of early winter weather for the East following Thanksgiving.

The threat of winter weather comes at a time when AAA predicts a record number of people traveling during the Thanksgiving holiday period. AAA Travel Vice President Stacey Barber highlighted that Thanksgiving is the busiest holiday for travel, with expectations of new records for driving, flying, and cruising.

As the holiday week approaches, it is advised to stay updated on weather models to prepare for any potential disruptions to travel plans.
