On Friday, two low-cap altcoins experienced a significant surge in price following their listing on Binance, one of the top cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.
Binance officially launched trading for Across (ACX), an interoperability protocol, and Orca (ORCA), a decentralized exchange built on the Solana blockchain.
Both ACX and ORCA saw impressive gains on the day, with ACX skyrocketing by nearly 88% and ORCA jumping by almost 80%. These gains outpaced all other top 1,000 tokens by market cap, as reported by CoinGecko.
Across is designed to revolutionize cross-chain experiences through its use of cross-chain intents, allowing users to specify outcomes rather than execution paths.
Orca, on the other hand, aims to provide a user-friendly trading environment for both experienced traders and liquidity providers.
Binance has assigned seed tags to ACX and ORCA, indicating that these assets may have higher volatility due to lower liquidity. Users holding assets with seed tags must pass quizzes every 90 days to ensure they understand the risks associated with trading these tokens.
As of the time of writing, ACX is trading at $1.07, while ORCA is priced at $6.98.
