ARPA Network, a leading provider of threshold signature scheme (TSS) platforms, has announced the integration of its verifiable random number generator, Randcast, into CARV and Sonic SVM. This strategic expansion aims to address fairness concerns related to randomness within blockchain technology.

Randomness plays a crucial role in decentralized ecosystems, influencing fairness, transparency, and security. However, traditional random number generator (RNG) systems are susceptible to manipulation and centralization, compromising their integrity. Randcast solutions, powered by ARPA’s threshold BLS signature scheme (BLS-TSS), utilize a node network to generate verifiable randomness on-chain.

Blockchain developers can leverage Randcast’s capabilities through a smart contract source development kit (SDK) for various applications, including game mechanics and AI-generated content.

Empowering the CARV AI Ecosystem

CARV is developing an AI-centric blockchain ecosystem that combines modular architecture, data sovereignty, and intelligent decentralized applications (dApps). At the core of this ecosystem is the Sonic Virtual Machine (SVM) chain, which blends the speed of Solana (SOL) with the security of Ethereum (ETH).

By integrating Randcast, CARV equips developers with new tools for randomized eSports tournaments, NFTs, AI content creation, and more. Sonic SVM’s HyperGrid Framework and developer-friendly environments like Rush and Sorada enhance performance while maintaining decentralization.

As a result of the Randcast integration, games built on Sonic will feature secure randomness in mechanics such as loot boxes.

Convergence of AI, Gaming, and Blockchain

The intersection of AI, gaming, and blockchain necessitates transparent randomness systems for decentralized projects. With the latest integrations with CARV and Sonic, ARPA Network is positioning itself as a leading provider of reliable RNG systems in the evolving landscape.
