Here’s How I Made $360 Selling Stuff on Facebook Marketplace

Looking to make some extra cash on Facebook Marketplace? As a busy 40-something with a full-time job and kids, I don’t have time to flip items for profit. Instead, I use the platform to sell stuff around the house, declutter, and recoup some of my past purchases. It’s my sustainable side hustle.

In May, I had a successful month on Marketplace. I sold two out of three items listed and made $360. I find that baby and kid items do well, so I listed a Halo bassinet and a Melissa & Doug art easel. Although the bassinet is still available, I’m confident it will sell eventually.

My recent Marketplace earnings

Selling locally on Facebook Marketplace has been successful for me. In May, I sold the Halo bassinet for $175, the art easel for $20, and the Vox guitar amp for $340. It’s a great way to declutter and make some extra cash.

To increase your chances of selling on Marketplace, showcase your items with multiple photos, price them competitively, and be patient with negotiations. It’s important to regularly adjust your listings and be cautious of potential scams.

How to find Facebook Marketplace

With over 3 billion active users, Facebook Marketplace is a convenient platform to sell your items. Simply tap the Marketplace icon in the app to get started.

How to sell on Facebook Marketplace

When listing items on Facebook Marketplace, it’s important to showcase them with quality photos, price them competitively, and provide detailed descriptions. Always be open to negotiation and be prepared to adjust your listings to attract buyers.

Tips for a successful sale

– Showcase items with multiple photos and detailed descriptions

– Price items competitively and be open to negotiation

– Regularly adjust listings and be cautious of potential scams
