MCO Plaza Premium Lounge Review: Is it worth it?

The Plaza Premium Lounge at Orlando International Airport (MCO) Terminal C offers a spacious and ambitious experience, but it can sometimes fall short of expectations due to overcrowding. Situated in the newest Terminal C, this 10,000-square-foot lounge boasts luxury amenities, including upscale bathrooms.

Located airside in Terminal C near Gate 241, the Plaza Premium Lounge serves airlines such as Aer Lingus, British Airways, Emirates, Icelandair, JetBlue, and Lufthansa. However, it is not connected airside to Terminals A or B, limiting access for passengers flying out of those terminals.

Access to the Plaza Premium Lounge at MCO is available through the Plaza Premium Lounge Pass Americas membership or day passes, which typically cost around $70. Additionally, the lounge is Priority Pass-eligible, offering a variety of benefits to cardholders.

The lounge’s design features a green and blue color palette inspired by Central Florida’s springs and waterways. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the tarmac and Palm Court concourse, while seating options range from custom-designed couches to semi-private workspaces with charging ports. The lounge also includes a quiet zone and complimentary luggage storage.

The food and drink offerings at the Plaza Premium Lounge are a step above other Priority Pass lounges in the U.S. The buffet features globally inspired options, while a separate area offers made-to-order items for an additional fee. The lounge also serves cocktails curated by mixologists, with some exclusive drink recipes for Plaza Premium guests.

The lounge’s bathrooms and showers are promoted as luxury facilities, but long lines can deter guests from using them. The lounge tends to get crowded, especially during peak times, leading to limited seating availability. While the lounge does not have a formal waitlist system, they are exploring options to better manage capacity.

In conclusion, the Plaza Premium Lounge at MCO offers a premium experience for travelers, but its value may vary depending on crowd levels. While the lounge provides a respite from the terminal’s hustle and bustle, overcrowding can detract from the overall experience. Consider visiting during quieter times or exploring other dining options in the terminal if the lounge is too crowded.
