Chase Sapphire Reserve Unveils 125,000-Point Bonus Offer

Commencing on August 21, 2025, fresh cardholders are eligible for an incredible welcome offer: Earn 125,000 bonus points when you spend $6,000 on purchases within the initial 3 months of opening the account.

BW rating

BW’s ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula incorporates coverage options, customer experience, customizability, cost and more.

These points — Chase Ultimate Rewards® points, specifically — hold a value of one cent each when cashed in, making the card’s revised bonus worth $1,250 when redeemed in this manner. However, they can also be used for travel redemptions, potentially offering even more value.

Previously, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® provided new applicants with a different bonus: 100,000 bonus points along with a $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after spending $5,000 on purchases in the initial 3 months of card ownership.

The new offer entails a higher spending threshold and is slightly less valuable overall as it no longer includes the $500 credit for travel bookings through Chase. Nonetheless, with the new offer, you are not required to book directly through Chase to maximize its full worth, providing cardholders with more flexibility when redeeming.

In addition to the new welcome bonus, the card’s continuous rewards and perks remain unchanged. Below are some of the offerings of the $795-annual-fee card:

  • 8 points per dollar spent on travel bookings purchased through Chase, encompassing flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, activities, and tours.

  • 4 points per dollar spent on bookings made directly with airlines or hotels.

  • 3 points per dollar spent at restaurants, including eligible food delivery.

  • 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases.

  • 5 points per $1 spent on Lyft, until September 30, 2027.

  • Up to $300 annually in statement credit automatically applied to travel purchases.

  • Access to Chase’s Sapphire Lounges at select airports.

  • Numerous hotel and airline transfer partners.

  • TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, or NEXUS credit, valued at up to $120.

  • Up to $500 in annual credit (two $250 credits) for stays with The Edit, a collection of over 1,000 high-end hotels and resorts.

  • “Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables” program, granting cardholders access to reservations at popular restaurants nationwide. Cardholders also receive a $300 annual dining credit (two $150 credits) for restaurants part of Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables.

  • An extensive array of additional credits, amounting to thousands of dollars in value annually.

  • No foreign transaction fees.
