Unlock Premium Visibility for Your Rental Properties with Listing Spotlight
With Listing Spotlight, property managers now have access to unparalleled exposure for their listings on Zillow Rentals, Trulia, and Hot Pads. Through a monthly subscription with Zillow, property managers can select the number of Listing Spotlight placements they desire and easily assign them to specific properties. This flexibility allows managers to adapt to changing business priorities seamlessly.
Michael Sherman, Zillow Rentals’ senior vice president, emphasized the importance of Listing Spotlight for managers of single-family rentals and smaller buildings. He stated, “Listing Spotlight puts the power in their hands, helping their most important listings stand out at the right time and adjusting to leasing needs as they evolve.”
Starting Monday, AppFolio users can take advantage of Listing Spotlight before its wider release in 2026. Zillow’s partnership with AppFolio, announced in April 2025, aims to provide AppFolio customers with the tools they need to stay competitive in a dynamic market environment.
Kyle Triplett, AppFolio’s senior vice president of product, highlighted the seamless integration of Listing Spotlight into AppFolio’s existing workflows. He stated, “This new offering empowers our customers to make smarter marketing decisions effortlessly, giving them greater control over their leasing funnel.”
While Zillow continues to innovate in the rental property market, recent legal challenges have emerged. A copyright infringement lawsuit from CoStar alleges that Zillow used CoStar-owned photos without permission. Additionally, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has filed a lawsuit against Zillow and Redfin over their rentals syndication deal.
