Stablecoins play a crucial role in connecting DeFi and TradFi, with native stablecoins on layer-1 networks offering advantages in forming partnerships with traditional financial institutions. However, these advantages may come at the cost of immediate gains.

Ripple’s recent partnership with LMAX to integrate its native stablecoin, RLUSD, reflects this trend of enhancing adoption through strategic moves.

However, this move has sparked discussions among XRP holders, especially considering XRP’s performance compared to Solana in 2026.

Despite Ripple’s efforts to drive institutional adoption and positive XRP ETF flows, XRP’s price momentum has not kept pace with Solana. Nevertheless, XRP’s limited losses in 2025 and its strategic moves suggest a potential long-term strategy in play.

Are XRP holders recognizing the value in Ripple’s strategy?

Looking back at 2025, XRP outperformed many other assets, thanks to strategic moves like GTreasury’s acquisition and partnerships to expand custody services.

Current data shows a decrease in whale inflows to Binance, indicating strategic accumulation of XRP holdings rather than selling off.

This aligns with the notion that Ripple’s long-term roadmap and on-chain activity are building conviction among XRP holders, supporting a positive outlook for XRP in 2026.

Final Thoughts

  • Ripple’s focus on long-term infrastructure growth through RLUSD adoption and institutional partnerships, backed by whale behavior indicating conviction.
