The latest rankings from blockchain analytics firm Santiment show that MetaMask, a popular crypto wallet provider, has claimed the top spot for overall development activity. According to Santiment’s data, MetaMask has outperformed other crypto projects in terms of notable GitHub development over the past 30 days.
In a recent post on X, Santiment shared its updated list of crypto projects with the highest level of noteworthy GitHub development activity, highlighting changes in rankings compared to the previous month.

“Here are the top overall coins in the crypto space based on notable development activity in the past 30 days. The directional indicators show the rise or fall in rank for each project compared to last month.”
MetaMask secured the top position, followed by Hedera (HBAR) and Internet Computer (ICP) by Dfinity in second and third place, respectively. Chainlink (LINK) ranked fourth, with Starknet (STRK) dropping to fifth place.
Cardano (ADA) climbed to the sixth spot, while Safe (SAFE) slipped to seventh and DeepBook (DEEP) rose to eighth. Sui (SUI) and Aptos (APT) rounded out the top ten, securing ninth and tenth place, respectively.
Santiment emphasizes that its development activity metrics exclude routine updates and focus on significant GitHub events using a unique methodology. The firm believes that consistent development activity indicates active project development and reduces the likelihood of abandonment.
