Coinbase has exciting news for its users with the announcement of a new mobile trading-card feature on Sept. 28. This feature will allow users to open packs that are backed by physical cards and give them the option to either keep their pulls in a vault or have them shipped to them.
“Rip packs on your phone. Every pull backed by a real, physical card. Vault it or ship it,” Coinbase shared in a post. The company hinted at a release date of “Soon on Coinbase,” but did not provide a specific launch date.
Furthermore, Coinbase hinted that Pokémon cards will be included in this new offering. When a user referred to it as “pokemon packs on the chain,” Coinbase responded with “you get it.” However, the teaser did not mention which blockchain would be used or how ownership of the cards would be recorded.
