(Reuters) – A tentative agreement has been reached between the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Coalition of Organized Retail Employees (IAM CORE) and tech giant Apple (NASDAQ:) on Friday. The agreement includes improvements in work-life balance, pay raises, and job security.

Workers at the Towson, Maryland, Apple retail store are set to vote on the tentative agreement on Aug. 6.

The three-year agreement features an average pay raise of 10%, restrictions on contracted employees, a severance clause, enhancements in work-life balance, and transparency regulations. It also ensures the preservation of all current benefits and an agreement to negotiate any future additions.

Workers at Apple’s Towson store previously voted in favor of authorizing a strike in May.

In June 2022, Apple workers in Maryland voted to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union, marking the first time retail employees of the tech giant have unionized in the United States.

Apple has not provided a comment at this time.
