Tell us about a high point in your brokerage career
A significant milestone in Cannuscio’s career was merging his Sotheby’s affiliate with a local brokerage, creating a thriving company that became a market leader. Despite initial challenges, the merger was a success.
Tell us about an epic fail you’ve experienced since you’ve been a broker
Early in his career, Cannuscio learned a valuable lesson about overpricing a unique property. Despite marketing efforts, he was unable to sell the property, highlighting the importance of pricing strategies in real estate.
After the initial listing expired, a different broker took over and eventually sold the property for a significantly lower price than what was originally listed. This experience taught me the importance of accurately pricing properties, managing client expectations, and openly communicating with clients about the necessity of adjusting the listing price based on market feedback.
