Several of this year’s Best Credit Card winners maintained their positions from previous years, while a few newcomers made their mark on this year’s list. Here’s what’s new for 2025.

First-time winners

Wells Fargo Attune℠ Card: Best for entertainment

BW rating

BW’s ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula incorporates coverage options, customer experience, customizability, cost and more.

  • On self-care, including gym memberships, spas and salons.

  • On sports, entertainment and recreation. This includes a wide variety of merchant types, such as art supply stores, florists, amusement parks, bowling alleys, golf courses, campgrounds, sporting goods stores, ticket agencies for live performances, book stores, select streaming services and more. You can even earn 4% back on whatever a dolphinarium is.

  • On planet-friendly purchases, such as those at secondhand and antique stores, bus and train tickets, electric vehicle charging and public transportation.

That’s an impressive list for a card with a $0 annual fee. Plus, there’s a sign-up offer with a charitable twist: Earn a $100 cash rewards bonus when you spend $500 in purchases in the first 3 months. And when you qualify for that bonus, Wells Fargo will also donate $50 to Capital Link, a nonprofit that supports health centers.

Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card: Best for premium travel

Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
BW rating

BW’s ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula incorporates coverage options, customer experience, customizability, cost and more.

  • A 10,000-mile anniversary bonus beginning on your first anniversary, which is worth $100 when redeemed for travel.

  • Free access to Capital One and Priority Pass airport lounges.

Right there, the card more than pays for itself, and that’s before you consider the sign-up bonus: Earn 75,000 bonus miles when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening, equal to $750 in travel.

On an ongoing basis, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card earns:

  • 10 miles per $1 on hotels & rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

  • 2 miles per $1 on all other purchases.

Redeem miles to cover travel expenses or transfer them to one of Capital One’s transfer partners.
