Capital One Lounge Las Vegas: Superb Food and Drinks

The newest Capital One lounge at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS) is a perfect blend of modern design, delicious food, and convenient grab-and-go options, all with a touch of Vegas glamour. Opening on Feb. 21, I had the opportunity to explore this lounge before its official debut. Here’s a glimpse inside:

Location and Hours:
The Capital One Lounge LAS is located in Concourse D of Terminal 1. As you ascend the escalators to the concourse, take a right, and you’ll find the entrance on the right side before Gate D51. The lounge is open every day from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Spaces to Relax and Work:
Spanning 8,200 square feet, the Capital One lounge may be smaller than its nearby counterpart, the American Express Centurion Lounge, but it feels spacious with its large windows offering views of the airport atrium. You can even catch a glimpse of the runway and surrounding mountains from some seating areas. The lounge features a variety of seating options, including bar stools, booths, and armchairs, all situated near windows. Each seat comes equipped with a power outlet for easy device charging. Additionally, there are two phone booth rooms available for guests to reserve if they need a private space for calls.

Food and Beverage:
The standout feature of the Capital One lounge is its food offerings. With a full commercial kitchen, the lounge serves up delectable small plates and desserts that rival many restaurants. Portion sizes are small, but since it’s all-you-can-eat, you can sample a variety of dishes. Some highlights include caviar deviled eggs, avocado toast with salmon, and lemon-herb chicken and farro bowl. The dessert selection is playful, with options like a unique twist on a strawberry Pop-Tart. Guests can also take advantage of the grab-and-go section at the front of the lounge, which offers boxed water, salads, sandwiches, a snack mix bar, bakery items, and a variety of beverages.

The lounge also features a special drink cart that offers different beverages throughout the day, such as a shakerato in the mornings, tea and macaroons in the afternoons, and champagne in the evenings. The bar area is a highlight, with exclusive spirits and beers from local partners like Herbs & Rye and the Las Vegas Brewing Company. The drink menu includes a range of cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic options, with the signature drink being the Bloody Mary.

Restrooms:
Behind the bar, you’ll find a corridor with six private restroom stalls, each equipped with a toilet, sink, and extra counter space. These spacious restrooms provide ample room for luggage storage, a significant improvement over other lounge locations with fewer facilities.

Access Policy:
Access to the Capital One Lounge is complimentary for holders of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card, with up to two guests per visit. Additional guests can enter for a fee of $45 each, while children under 2 enter for free. Non-cardholders and non-customers can access the lounge for $90 per visit.

In conclusion, the Capital One Lounge at LAS is a worthwhile stop for travelers with access to its amenities. The high-quality food, diverse drink options, and comfortable seating make it a standout choice for relaxation and refreshment before your flight.
