  • The Flex perpetual platform has integrated Chainlink Data Streams to facilitate the trading of tokenized US equities market.
  • Recently unveiled, Data Streams provides real-time streams for major US stocks and ETFs.

The next-generation decentralized perpetual protocol, Flex Perpetual, has now integrated Chainlink’s Data Streams for Real World Assets (RWAs). This integration aims to enhance the user experience on Flex by delivering low-latency and highly accurate pricing data.

Furthermore, Flex will utilize Data Streams to power its tokenized equities markets such as AAPL, MSTR, NVDA, and TSLA. This partnership is expected to bridge the gap between traditional and decentralized finance, as stated in Chainlink’s announcement.

Data Streams’ sub-second market data for RWAs will support opening and closing positions, funding rate calculations, and liquidation logic on Flex. Flex is one of the first perpetual exchanges to integrate Chainlink Data Streams for real-world assets.

Flex offers trading of highly secured tokenized equities with up to 5x leverage and cross-margin support, without the need for Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification.

In addition to Flex, Jupiter has also integrated Data Streams into their perpetual markets, expanding the reach of Chainlink’s data solutions.

Understanding Chainlink’s Data Streams

Chainlink’s Data Streams solution now provides real-time streams for major US stocks and ETFs, enhancing market data accessibility. This solution aggregates data from various sources to ensure uptime and reliability.

With Data Streams live on 37 blockchain networks, industry experts like Thomas Short of Kamino recognize its contribution to creating a seamless user experience while maintaining security and trust.

Notably, the integration of tokenized US Equity on-chain demands high-frequency and reliable data, a requirement that Data Streams meets. Collaborations between companies like Kamino and GMX are unlocking new trading opportunities using Chainlink’s data solutions.

Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, views Data Streams as a significant advancement for tokenized markets. Jone Zee of GMX Communications believes that Data Streams enable the creation of perpetual markets for a wide range of high-quality assets.

The integration of Chainlink Data Streams for equities and ETFs marks a milestone in delivering decentralized, institutional-grade pricing infrastructure for expanding DeFi beyond crypto-native assets. This reliable data standard enables perpetual markets on a broader spectrum of assets desired by the community and issuers.

Prior to its deployment in the US Equity market, Chainlink’s Data Streams were launched on the Scroll mainnet, providing developers access to low-latency market data. Collaboration with layer 1 blockchain Monad has extended Chainlink’s Oracle services to its testnet, including Data Streams.
