Cruises Now Searchable on Chase’s Travel Portal

Chase has quietly updated its travel portal, making it easier for certain cardholders to book cruises using their Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Now, cardholders can browse cruises online through Chase’s travel portal, eliminating the need to call a dedicated cruise agent to inquire about available bookings. While booking still requires a phone call, the new online functionality allows users to compare itineraries, prices, and cruise lines, making planning and booking a cruise much more convenient.

This update comes at a time of increasing interest in cruises, with AAA estimating a 4.5% increase in cruise passenger numbers for 2025 compared to 2024. The ability to browse cruises on Chase’s travel portal is a significant improvement, as cruises were previously not listed on the portal alongside hotels, flights, and rental car options.

Through Voyages by Chase Travel, eligible cardholders can book sailings on select cruise lines, including popular names like Royal Caribbean and MSC Cruises, as well as luxury brands like Silversea Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Booking through Chase may also come with benefits such as onboard credits and package upgrades, which vary by cruise.

For cardholders with a Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve, booking cruises with rewards becomes even more valuable. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve, points can be redeemed for cruises at a value of 1.5 cents per point, while the Chase Sapphire Preferred offers a solid 1.25 cents per point redemption rate.

Overall, booking cruises with points through Chase is now more accessible and rewarding, particularly for Chase Sapphire cardholders. Other Chase cardholders can still redeem points for cruises, but at the standard rate of 1 cent per point through the issuer’s travel portal. If you’re looking to use rewards for your next cruise, the Chase Sapphire cards are among the best options available.

By taking advantage of the new functionality on Chase’s travel portal, cardholders can maximize their rewards and enjoy a seamless booking experience for their next cruise adventure.
