Escobar: China Throws Clout Behind Palestine

The article “China Throws Clout Behind Palestine” by Pepe Escobar via The Cradle discusses the significance of the Beijing Declaration in global conflict resolution and its implications for US-Israeli efforts in Palestine. The declaration, signed by representatives of 14 Palestinian factions, showcases China’s leadership in promoting multipolar solutions to geopolitical issues. The article highlights the positive response from Palestinian factions to the Chinese initiative and outlines the three-step proposal put forth by China for resolving the Palestinian issue. Additionally, the article contrasts China’s diplomatic efforts with the US Congress’ support for Israel’s actions in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of implementing the Beijing Declaration to challenge the Tel Aviv-Washington agenda in Palestine. It would be a significant blow to Beijing’s reputation if they do not take action. The Chinese leadership understands that their involvement is crucial in this Global South initiative, highlighting the hypocrisy of the hegemon. The recent Saudi-Iran deal in Beijing showcases a positive alternative to the Israeli-American stance on the ceasefire issue.

Achieving real unity among Palestinians will strengthen global initiatives at the UN and the International Court of Justice. However, the harsh reality remains on the ground where the genocidal actions of Israel, supported by the US, continue unchecked, leading to mass murder and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

The Beijing Declaration alone will not end this tragedy; it requires the hegemon to stop supplying weapons to Tel Aviv. Unfortunately, Washington’s support for Israel’s actions only perpetuates the cycle of violence. The urgent need for a resolution is evident, but the path to peace remains uncertain.

Please note that the opinions expressed in this article do not necessarily reflect those of The Cradle or ZeroHedge.
