Fluence Encourages Cryptocurrency Firms to Commit to Decentralized Infrastructure
Fluence is calling on cryptocurrency firms and industry players to embrace decentralized physical infrastructure network solutions through the DePIN Pledge. This initiative is supported by major organizations like IoTeX, Polygon, Helium, and Consensys.
The cloudless computing platform Fluence aims to promote decentralized infrastructure by encouraging firms and projects in the cryptocurrency space to publicly commit to this approach. The goal is to foster more transparent and resilient ecosystems as the web3 and cryptocurrency industries evolve.
Despite being an ideal, decentralization has often not been fully realized in the web3 ecosystem. Many projects have strayed from their decentralized principles by relying on centralized infrastructure due to the rise of cloud hyperscalers and artificial intelligence computing.
Firms that pledge their commitment to decentralized infrastructure will be featured in a public directory on the DePIN Pledge website. This visibility allows traders and users to support companies that prioritize decentralization in their technology and infrastructure.

Furthermore, companies that make the pledge will receive a manifesto and a DePIN Pledge NFT, symbolizing their dedication to decentralization. This NFT is verifiable on the Ethereum blockchain and can be showcased on various platforms and social media channels.
Other notable supporters of this initiative include Infura, Consensys, IoTeX, Outlier Ventures, Polygon, Helium, and Blockscout.
Tom Trowbridge, Co-Founder & CEO of Fluence, expressed enthusiasm for the pledge and highlighted the businesses using DePIN to enhance their operations.
“We are just beginning to see DePIN adoption, and we anticipate a wide range of products and services leveraging DePIN in the future,” said Trowbridge.
One example of decentralized technology adoption is the collaboration between Consensys and Infura in building a decentralized infrastructure network that serves multiple blockchains.
Clemens Wan, global solutions architect at Consensys, emphasized DIN’s commitment to providing high-performance web3 infrastructure through decentralized mechanisms. He stated that the DePIN Pledge aligns with DIN’s vision of maintaining decentralization in the web3 foundation.
“We support the DePIN manifesto because the potential of Web3 can only be fully realized when the core infrastructure services reflect the values we all uphold,” Wan added.
