Exciting news from Gala as GalaChain partners with China’s Trusted Copyright Chain (TCC) to become the first international blockchain to do so. This collaboration will pave the way for an estimated 600 million Chinese gamers to access NFTs through GalaChain. The development of a cross-border blockchain bridge is already underway, with a planned public release in the first quarter of 2026.
Adhering to Chinese legal and regulatory standards, NFTs will be registered within China to facilitate the secure movement of digital assets from the game Shrapnel to other markets. Transactions will be conducted using the $GALA token, and an on-chain dashboard will provide transparent data on usage.
In a unique arrangement, Shrapnel will allocate a portion of its China revenue to repurchase $SHRAP tokens on GalaChain, subject to market and regulatory conditions. Network fees will be paid in $GALA, contributing to the overall activity on GalaChain.
The system also includes features to support Chinese content creators, enabling them to monitor user actions and receive rewards. Each verified action will consume $GALA and update a public counter on the blockchain.
Shrapnel, a popular AAA first-person shooter game, is transitioning its in-game economy from Avalanche to GalaChain. This migration offers faster processing, lower transaction costs, and automatic compliance with Chinese blockchain regulations.
To celebrate the launch, a complimentary NFT badge will be distributed to all Gala wallets and Neon players. This badge grants early access to playtests and will be the first NFT available on both GalaChain and TCC.
