Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news,

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell complained to his colleague Rachel Maddow about feeling exhausted from covering President Trump and announced that he would be taking some time off.

Expressing his fatigue, O’Donnell told Maddow, “I know you’ve pledged to cover and be here for the first hundred days of the Trump presidency. I hope you noticed that I did not make that same pledge when you did.”

He went on to say, “This is day 52. I thought it was day 92. It turns out it’s day 52, Rachel, and I’m exhausted at day 52.”

“So I’m going to take next week off. And I’m telling you that now cause I know you don’t like it when I just drift away. I’m just taking next week off, then I can come back, and go with you all the way to the 100 days,” O’Donnell shared.

Maddow responded with understanding, saying, “You have to take care of yourself, you got to pace yourself” as if O’Donnell was preparing for a strenuous physical challenge.

O’Donnell then made the bold claim that ” Donald Trump’s brain is broken, badly damaged, as he exhibits every day.”

One may wonder who truly has the broken brain in this situation.

“Can I go with you?” Maddow added.

An “exhausted” Lawrence O’Donnell tells his colleague Rachel Maddow he’s taking a week-long break from covering Trump after 50 days felt like nearly 100.

I’m sure every one of his 117 viewers are devastated.

Poor fellow. He should take a few years off.

Spinning truth and making up lies is apparently very exhausting. Take a break—permanently—no one will miss you.

If Maddow also went, no one would notice, given that a quarter of the guy’s audience has disappeared just since the election.

Rachel Maddow’s rant at MSNBC bosses appears to have backfired spectacularly as 5M viewers fled the news program in a massive 22% ratings slump.

Is it any wonder?
