The Transition From Minority Mindset to Briefs Media

Despite its successes, the journey of Market Briefs to becoming Briefs Media was filled with challenges.

At the beginning of 2022, when Jaspreet made the decision to rebrand Minority Mindset and establish Market Briefs as a separate entity under Briefs Media, there were numerous obstacles to overcome.

One major hurdle was the migration of Market Briefs to a new email service provider that better suited the company’s needs.

The Challenging Migration Process

After extensive research, multiple introductory calls, and a complex migration process, a new email service provider was eventually chosen.

Despite the content creation team’s efforts to continue producing engaging content, the migration process resulted in some difficulties.

Subscribers faced issues receiving the emails in their inboxes, leading to a significant decrease in open rates. However, this setback was not the end of the story.

Following the arduous migration, Jaspreet and his team received unexpected news from the new provider – they were not allowed to send sponsored or educational emails on certain financial topics, which formed the core of Market Briefs’ content. This posed a major threat to the business.

A New Beginning

After swiftly identifying a new email service provider that aligned with their values and objectives, Jaspreet and his team commenced the data migration process.

They even had to manually add subscribers back into the system, a time-consuming task. Fortunately, the new provider helped Market Briefs regain its footing as a successful and informative newsletter.

However, another unexpected twist occurred when the previous email service provider expressed regret for their actions and attempted to win back Market Briefs as a customer. The response was a resounding “no.”
