Indonesia stocks experienced a decline on Thursday, with losses in various sectors leading shares lower.
By the end of trading in Jakarta, the Jakarta Composite Index fell by 0.53%.
Among the top performers of the day were Sekar Laut Tbk (JK:) with a 34.83% increase, Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (JK:) with a 33.33% rise, and Terang Dunia Internusa PT (JK:) with a 30.61% gain.
On the other hand, the worst performers included Pt Topindo Solusi Komunika (JK:) with a 34.57% decrease, Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:) down by 24.80%, and Himalaya Energi Perkasa Tbk PT (JK:) falling by 20.00%.
On the Jakarta Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones, with 375 declining, 209 advancing, and 251 remaining unchanged.
In commodities trading, crude oil prices saw a slight decline, with WTI crude for January delivery down to $68.45 a barrel. Brent oil for February delivery also fell to $72.03 a barrel, while February Gold Futures traded at $2,664.10 a troy ounce.
Exchange rates showed slight fluctuations, with USD/IDR up at 15,877.00 and AUD/IDR down at 10,296.10. The US Dollar Index Futures also saw a 0.25% increase, reaching 106.32.
