Interchain Labs Unveils New Bridge Product Called IBC Eureka to Connect Ethereum and Cosmos Blockchains

IBC Eureka is revolutionizing the way Ethereum and Cosmos connect with the second version of the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. By leveraging the Cosmos Hub for IBC routing, IBC Eureka offers fast and cost-effective connections between the two networks. Ethereum is now the first non-Cosmos network to be part of the IBC ecosystem, marking a significant milestone in blockchain interoperability. In the future, Eureka developers plan to integrate networks like Solana, Base, and Arbitrum.

The primary goal of IBC Eureka is to reduce transmission costs, such as gas and relay fees, from Ethereum to Cosmos to less than $1. Barry Plunkett, co-CEO of Interchain Labs, believes that IBC Eureka brings a new level of security and programmability to cross-chain communication. This advancement opens up opportunities for developers on both Ethereum and Cosmos to create innovative applications that combine liquidity and protocols across different chains.

Several prominent projects have already joined the Eureka IBC network, including the decentralized exchange dYdX, the real-asset-focused L1 blockchain MANTRA, the Bitcoin Lombard liquid staking protocol, and the Bitcoin Babylon staking protocol.
