COTI: A Pioneer in Blockchain Technology

COTI stands out as a veteran project in the cryptocurrency field, led by Shahaf Bar-Geffen, the chief executive officer. In a recent conversation, Bar-Geffen shared insights into the upcoming developments at COTI.

The team is currently focused on the launch of COTI V2, a privacy-centric Ethereum layer-two solution. This strategic move aims to address the challenges faced by blockchain technology and the Internet at large.

Bar-Geffen emphasized the importance of decentralized networks that prioritize data privacy. With COTI V2, the team is pioneering a unique technology that prioritizes confidentiality over anonymity.

One key feature of COTI V2 is “selective disclosure,” allowing users to control who can access their transaction details. This approach differs from fully anonymous solutions like Monero, as it enables regulatory oversight while maintaining user privacy.

Powering COTI V2: Garbled Circuits Technology

COTI is the first blockchain project to integrate garbled circuits technology, offering on-chain privacy with exceptional computation speed. This innovation outperforms traditional encryption systems, making transactions up to 1,000 times faster.

Garbled circuits technology, originally developed by Soda Labs researchers, enhances blockchain privacy and scalability. Unlike other solutions, it ensures data confidentiality and security without single points of failure.

The Roadmap Ahead for COTI

Looking ahead, COTI is set to deploy its testnet in the coming months, paving the way for a mainnet launch by the end of the year. The mainnet will introduce a privacy-centric Ethereum layer-two network, offering enhanced security and performance.

Additionally, COTI is focusing on simplifying KYC procedures, advancing AI initiatives, and developing DeFi solutions. These strategic initiatives underscore COTI’s commitment to innovation and growth in the blockchain space.
