Conservative movements are often misunderstood as rigid and unyielding, unable to adapt to new ideas. This perception, however, is based on misconceptions. In reality, modern conservatives are often too compromising, too willing to go along to get along. While none of us wants to be seen as dictatorial, there is value in standing firm on certain principles.
One of the defining characteristics of conservatives in the US is a respect for freedom, tempered by responsibility. While some may look back at past attempts by conservatives to regulate certain aspects of society with disdain, it is becoming increasingly clear that they were right about many things.
During the era of the Christian “busybody,” there was ridicule for their efforts to maintain moral standards. However, in hindsight, their concerns were valid. The balance to the evangelical movement was supposed to be Liberalism, but today’s liberals have strayed far from their roots of individualism and freedom. The rise of woke activism has pushed many to reevaluate their beliefs and take a stand against the encroaching chaos.
Centrist liberals now find themselves struggling to rein in the excesses of the far left, realizing that the woke movement poses a threat to the very values they once held dear. As conservatism gains momentum, there is a chance to restore traditional values and social cohesion in America. This shift requires a reexamination of the concept of personal liberty and the boundaries that may need to be set.
Liberals caution against the rise of conservatism following recent political successes, fearing a return to outdated moral standards. They argue that the “woke right” must be kept in check to prevent a regression to a bygone era.
Christian Nationalists, who advocate for a return to a society based on Christian principles, have faced criticism from liberals who fear a loss of cultural relevancy. However, the historical significance of Christianity in American society cannot be ignored.
As the influence of Christianity wanes, the dangers of wokism become increasingly apparent. Christian doctrine may serve as a necessary safeguard against the encroachment of harmful ideologies.
The debate over the future of American culture hinges on whether one group should define it and defend it against existential threats. Christian Nationalists, with their emphasis on traditional values, may be the best suited for this role. The alternative of allowing liberals to dictate the cultural narrative is fraught with risks.
While some may label this position as “woke right,” the need for a strong moral compass in society is undeniable. Christians and conservatives must be willing to take action to prevent the spread of destructive ideologies.
As the battle for the soul of Western civilization rages on, the question remains: Will we allow our heritage to be eroded, or will we stand firm in defense of our values? Christian Nationalism may offer a path forward in the fight against the forces of chaos and moral relativism.
Ultimately, the choice is ours to make: Do we embrace a society founded on enduring principles, or do we succumb to the whims of a rapidly changing world?
