Is the JetBlue Premier Card Worth It?

JetBlue has entered the premium travel credit card market with the launch of the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard on Jan. 29, 2025. This card comes with a hefty $499 annual fee, with an additional $150 for each authorized user. Some of the perks offered by this card include lounge access and statement credits for JetBlue’s travel portal.

However, there are some limitations to consider. JetBlue’s lounges are not expected to open until late 2025 at the earliest. The card also offers up to $300 in annual statement credits for purchases made on Paisly, JetBlue’s online platform for booking hotels, car rentals, and activities. But users cannot redeem the entire credit in a single transaction, making it difficult to fully utilize this benefit.

### JetBlue Premier Card benefits

#### Sign-up bonus
You can earn 70,000 TrueBlue points after spending $5,000 in the first three months from account opening, which is worth $1,125 in travel. Additionally, you’ll earn five “tiles” toward qualification for JetBlue’s Mosaic elite status.

#### Rewards rate
The JetBlue Premier Card offers similar reward rates to the JetBlue Plus Card, with 6 TrueBlue points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases with JetBlue and Paisly, 2 points for every $1 spent on eligible restaurant and grocery store purchases, and 1 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases. You’ll also earn 1 elite-qualifying tile for every $1,000 in eligible purchases.

#### Lounge access
The most notable perk of the JetBlue Premier Card is lounge access, but JetBlue’s lounges are not yet operational. In the meantime, cardholders and authorized users will receive a Priority Pass Select membership, providing access to lounges, Minute Suites, and Be Relax Spas in the Priority Pass network.

#### Statement credits for Paisly purchases (up to $300)
Another major perk of the card is up to $300 in statement credits for travel purchases on Paisly. However, to fully utilize this credit, you’ll need to make at least six qualifying purchases per calendar year.

#### JetBlue travel perks
Cardholders can enjoy travel perks such as priority boarding, free checked bags, and 50% off in-flight food and drink purchases on JetBlue flights.

#### JetBlue TrueBlue point bonuses
The JetBlue Premier Card also includes an anniversary bonus of 5,000 points and a points redemption bonus of 10% of points back on TrueBlue award flights.

#### Statement credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry
The card offers a statement credit of up to $120 for TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, or NEXUS application fees, available once every four years.

Who should get the JetBlue Premier Card?
JetBlue loyalists, frequent Paisly users, and those looking to earn Mosaic elite status may find value in the JetBlue Premier Card. However, the $499 annual fee may be hard to justify when compared to other premium travel cards in the market.

Until JetBlue’s lounges open, it may be worth considering the midtier JetBlue Plus Card, which offers similar benefits at a lower annual fee. Remember to consider all the perks and limitations of the JetBlue Premier Card before making a decision.
