The sudden evacuation of over 400,000 Palestinians in eastern Khan Yunis was ordered by the Israeli army on Monday. Leaflets were dropped in the besieged city just moments before warplanes began their raids.
After the attacks, at least 35 deaths were reported, including five children. Many injured Palestinians have been seeking treatment at the Nasser Medical Complex.
The Nasser Medical Complex is in urgent need of blood donations due to a shortage of blood units. The ongoing massacres by the occupation forces have put the lives of the sick and injured at risk.
The Israeli military urged the remaining population in eastern Khan Yunis to evacuate to the humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi before their operation against terror organizations.
Reports indicate that Monday’s air raids in Khan Yunis are the most violent since the previous military operation earlier this year.
Victims are trapped under rubble and scattered on the streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them due to the continuous shelling.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is heading to Washington for meetings before addressing a joint session of congress.
Netanyahu’s visit to the US is aimed at discussing important goals such as releasing hostages, defeating Hamas, confronting Iran, and ensuring the safety of Israeli citizens.
Netanyahu chose a direct flight to the US to avoid potential arrest in European nations over war crimes in Gaza.
