On May 24, Stacks, a layer 2 blockchain solution, announced that it had resolved an abnormal behavior affecting block production in the stacks-node mempool synchronization logic. Following the fix, all node operators, especially miners and signers, were urged to update their nodes to version 3.1.0.0.11.
A warning was issued on the X social network regarding potential periodic degradation in block production until all miners and signers complete the necessary upgrade. The decision to release the latest version for node upgrade was made shortly after core developers identified the root cause of the issue.
Initial findings indicate that the latest update is compatible with chainstate directories from 3.x.x.x.x. The release of this update is anticipated to fully resolve the issue that Stacks first acknowledged on April 18.
