Metalpha Technology Holding Limited (Nasdaq: MATH) has recently partnered with DogeOS, the application layer founded by MyDoge, to enhance Dogecoin (DOGE) as a blockchain platform suitable for gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
DogeOS aims to expand the utility of Dogecoin beyond centralized exchanges, as the cryptocurrency sees over 4 million daily transactions and ranks high in market capitalization but lacks integration with decentralized platforms.
The team behind MyDoge, known for their popular Dogecoin wallet with over 500,000 users, is behind the development of DogeOS. The platform has received $6.9 million in funding, primarily from Polychain Capital, and is working on tools for developers to create consumer applications in various industries.
Metalpha’s expertise lies in supporting proof-of-work networks like Bitcoin and Litecoin. They have focused on institutional indexes, risk management tools, and sustainability research. This collaboration with DogeOS reinforces Metalpha’s commitment to expanding the practical use of digital assets and strengthening infrastructure for proof-of-work ecosystems.
