Debate over the National Association of Realtors’ pocket listing rule is escalating, potentially leading to further antitrust litigation.

The American Real Estate Association, a rival trade group, is reaching out to real estate agents impacted by NAR’s Clear Cooperation Policy, urging them to consider joining a class action lawsuit against NAR.

According to an NAR spokesperson, the MLS Technology and Emerging Issues Board will convene in late October to discuss the CCP.

The rival group has launched a petition to abolish the CCP, gathering thousands of signatures so far.

Jason Haber

The American Real Estate Association is considering potential legal action against NAR regarding the CCP, following grievances expressed by agents fined under the policy.

Jason Haber, co-founder of the American Real Estate Association, explained the group’s intentions and the gathering of information from affected agents.

As discussions progress, the possibility of a class-action lawsuit is being explored, with a focus on advocating for agents impacted by the policy.

This is the movement we are a part of. However, they are currently not able to do them.
