Is this new card worth the fee?
Like all airline cards, the Citi / AAdvantage Globe™ Mastercard® is most beneficial for frequent American Airlines travelers. If you do not have loyalty to a specific airline, a general travel rewards credit card may be a better choice.
If you fly with American Airlines regularly, it is essential to consider whether the $350 annual fee can be offset by using the card’s benefits. For instance, if you and a companion take three round-trip flights in a year and each check a bag, you can get $420 in value. However, the lower-fee Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® also offers free checked bags, so you should also evaluate whether you would utilize other perks, such as lounge passes and various statement credits.
