New T-Mobile Card: 2X Back on Most Purchases, Plus Autopay Discounts

The T-Mobile wireless network has introduced its inaugural co-branded credit card in partnership with Capital One.

The T-Mobile Visa Card, which comes with no annual fee, will be available for applications starting on November 4, 2025. Cardholders will earn rewards on T-Mobile purchases as well as everyday spending.

To apply for the card, it is essential to be an active T-Mobile wireless customer with at least one active line on an eligible smartphone plan.

About the T-Mobile Visa Card

Welcome bonus: None currently available.

  • Earn 5% back in T-Mobile rewards on all phone, device, or accessory purchases made at T-Mobile.

  • Receive 2% back in T-Mobile rewards on all other purchases.

T-Mobile rewards are earned as credits that can be redeemed at a 1:1 ratio towards your monthly T-Mobile bill or purchases of phones, devices, and accessories through the company. Rewards do not expire.

  • Enjoy a $5 discount per eligible line, for a maximum of eight lines, every month when using the card with autopay.

  • Get up to 50% off select hotels and up to 45% off select Pay Now rental cars booked through T-Mobile Travel, the company’s travel portal.

  • Receive a 25-cent discount per gallon, up to 20 gallons, at Shell Fuel Rewards. Please note that this discount is only available on Tuesdays and until December 23, 2025.

Should you consider getting the T-Mobile card?

Similar to co-branded credit cards offered by other major wireless providers like the Verizon Visa® Card and the AT&T Points Plus Card, the T-Mobile Visa Card can help customers save on their phone bills. While most cardholders may not make enough T-Mobile purchases to maximize the card’s 5x rewards rate, the unlimited 2x rate on all other purchases is competitive with the top flat-rate cards available, making it easy to earn rewards.

Although there is limited redemption flexibility with these rewards — such as the absence of cash back options — this may not be a major concern when it comes to paying your cell phone bill, a fixed expense you can rely on every month, ensuring plenty of opportunities to redeem rewards.

Furthermore, signing up for autopay to pay your bill automatically entitles you to a $5 discount per line for up to eight lines, helping to reduce a significant portion of your family’s monthly phone bill. With no annual fee associated with the card, there are no additional costs for keeping it in your wallet.

One drawback, however, is the lack of cell phone insurance with the T-Mobile Visa, a feature that is becoming increasingly common with credit cards. This means that if you use the card to pay your T-Mobile bill, you may want to consider purchasing a separate cell phone coverage policy, which T-Mobile also offers.
