OKX, a crypto exchange based in Seychelles, has recently announced its support for three memecoins, including a newly launched altcoin that is related to Dogecoin (DOGE).
According to OKX, they are introducing perpetual futures support for meme tokens BasedBrett (BRETT), Simon’s Cat (CAT), and Neiro on ETH (NEIROETH).
BRETT, the largest memecoin on Base blockchain launched by Coinbase, currently has a market cap of $683 million and has seen a decrease of over 40% since the beginning of August.
Simon’s Cat, initially launched on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and airdropped to Floki (FLOKI) holders last month, has a market cap of $187 million and has surged by 152% since hitting an all-time low shortly after its launch.
The Neiro project has labeled NEIROETH as the official sister of DOGE, which has made its way to Ethereum (ETH) to create history. NEIROETH currently boasts a market cap of $128 million and has soared by over 449% since reaching an all-time low on September 3rd.
All these memecoins will be available for trading on USDT margin perpetual futures.
In a statement last year, OKX CEO Star Xu mentioned the pressure to list more BRC-20 altcoins from the Bitcoin (BTC) ecosystem but highlighted the exchange’s commitment to a cautious listing approach.
“OKX never wants to be the most aggressive listing exchange in the industry. Although OKX is not the industry’s biggest leader, we still have our long-term philosophies like building the infrastructure, being transparent, and always being technology-driven,” said Xu.
