Plume has teamed up with Octane, an AI-powered security platform, to seamlessly integrate automated, real-time vulnerability scanning into its blockchain ecosystem.

Summary

  • Octane’s platform conducts code scans in CI/CD pipelines, identifying vulnerabilities in real time without hindering development progress.
  • Initial audits of Plume protocols and ecosystem projects revealed 192 issues, including a critical vulnerability in Mystic, which could have potentially led to a financial loss.

Octane, known for its AI-powered security solutions, has joined forces with Plume, the pioneering permission-less blockchain designed for RWA finance, to offer top-tier security for its ecosystem.

The collaboration will incorporate Octane’s platform, which has scanned over 86 million lines of code and safeguarded more than $6 billion in on-chain assets, directly into Plume developers’ CI/CD pipelines. This will enable automated security scans with recommended fixes for each code commit, allowing developers to identify vulnerabilities in real time without impeding development progress.

The partnership has already shown concrete results. Initial scans of major Plume protocols and core contracts by Octane analyzed more than 66,000 lines of code and identified 192 issues. This included multiple scans of core Plume contracts and ecosystem projects like Mystic, where a critical vulnerability was discovered that could have led to a loss of funds.

Plume’s collaboration with Octane comes at a time when institutions are increasingly entering the tokenized finance sector, demanding SOC-level, institutional-grade security standards akin to those in TradFi.

“Our aim is to establish Plume as the most secure environment for building and scaling tokenized finance. Octane’s AI-powered offensive security platform allows us to deploy infrastructure with advanced defenses,” said Teddy Pornprinya, CBO and Co-Founder of Plume. “This benefits the developers and institutions now converging on our ecosystem.”
