Polyhedra Network and Cysic Join Forces to Develop a Real-Time ZK Hardware Prover
Polyhedra mentioned that its partnership with Cysic focuses on advancing the ZK ecosystem by creating a real-time ZK hardware prover. In this respect, it intends to merge cutting-edge technologies to improve the efficiency and security in the blockchain sector. The project takes into account the combination of several acceleration approaches like the Generalized Kilby Reduction proof backend of Polyhedra and the ZK ASIC chip of Cysic.
The effective software algorithms of Polyhedra and the efficient hardware acceleration of Cysic develop an unparalleled synergy. In this way, the partnership aims at expanding the possibilities in the realm of zero-knowledge proving. The current ongoing development is a move toward reforming ZK technology’s future. Cysic noted that the platform is determined to revolutionize the hardware solutions dealing with ZK proving.
Cysic added that Polyhedra has been leading the advancement concerning the GKR protocol, getting landmark achievements during the past year. In this respect, its Expander-proof backend proved more than 15K keccak hashes each second with the use of a standard user desktop CPU. The respective milestones signify the potential of the platform’s technology to further enhance the advancement.
The collaboration endeavors to offer real-time ZK proving with the integration of the Expander backend of Polyhedra with the C1 chip of Cysic. This merger promises to provide distinctive proving speeds apart from substantially less power consumption in comparison with GPU-only solutions. The project also unlocks the possibilities related to efficiency and scalability regarding ZK applications.
The Endeavor Aims to Increase Proving Speeds and Minimize Energy Consumption
According to Polyhedra Network, the mutual initiative highlights the significance of cross-industry collaboration for blockchain development. By incorporating Cysic’s ASIC solutions and Polyhedra’s unconventional proof backend, the partnership attempts to establish an ecosystem that prioritizes the acceleration of proving speeds, reduction in energy consumption, as well as coping with the growing requirements of the wider ZK community.
