Decentralized Oracle Network Chainlink Partners with Sony Block Solutions Labs

Chainlink, a decentralized oracle network, has announced that Soneium, an Ethereum L2 blockchain developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, has joined the Chainlink Scale program. This partnership allows Soneium to access Chainlink data feeds on the Soneium Minato testnet. Trusted by companies such as Base, Starknet, and Sonic Labs, Chainlink data feeds offer safe and secure access to real-time data crucial for decentralized application (dApp) development on Soneium.

The collaboration also involves integrating the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) as Soneium’s canonical cross-chain infrastructure. Jun WATANABE, Chairman of Sony Block Solutions Labs, emphasized Chainlink’s reputation and trustworthiness, ensuring a reliable and secure platform for Soneium users. Watanabe believes that Chainlink’s technology will enhance the experience for developers and end users on Soneium.

Soneium, launched in August 2024, is part of Sony’s mission to bring Web3 to billions of people on a daily basis. The platform aims to offer innovative solutions to real-world issues and foster the growth and maturity of the blockchain industry. The Chainlink Scale program supports the development of Layer 2 blockchains and ecosystems, inviting various blockchain platforms like Avalanche, Metis, and Starknet to participate in the initiative.
