Sweden has officially chosen Embraer’s C-390 Millennium as its new military cargo aircraft, making it the first country in northern Europe to acquire the aircraft. This selection is a significant milestone for Embraer, as expanding sales of the C-390 globally has been a key objective for its defense unit. Sweden joins a list of European nations, including Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Portugal, in opting for the versatile aircraft. “This decision marks a new chapter in Brazil-Sweden relations,” Embraer stated. It is worth noting that Brazil previously purchased Gripen fighter jets from Sweden’s SAAB, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
