For those seeking a fantastic deal on Walt Disney World tickets, consider visiting on a Wednesday in late summer.

BW conducted an analysis of ticket data spanning over 18 months to determine the most budget-friendly days to visit Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

  • While ticket prices do not vary significantly by day of the week, they do show significant fluctuations by month.Late summer stands out as the period with the most affordable tickets.

  • For those looking to maximize savings:

    • Wednesdays emerge as the most economical day of the week to visit.

    • September is identified as the least expensive month to visit.

    • Summer is highlighted as the most cost-effective season to visit.

During the summer, Florida’s heat, humidity, and hurricane risks contribute to reduced demand and lower ticket prices. By being flexible and prepared for potential weather-related disruptions, the savings could be well worth it.

This analysis was conducted in July 2025 based on publicly available March 2025 data for adult ticket prices at Walt Disney World Resort. The dates analyzed ranged from March 2025 to October 2026 and were sourced from the official Walt Disney World website. The figures were based on one-day ticket prices, although Disney provides discounts for longer stays.

Disney ticket prices vary by day and park, with ticket prices being determined based on the cheapest park on a given day, typically Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort are Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom Park.

The most economical day of the week to visit

Wednesday is highlighted as the least expensive day of the week to visit Disney World, with Saturday being the priciest—although the price difference is minimal.

On Wednesdays, ticket prices average just under $153, making them approximately $7 cheaper than on Saturdays. However, for larger groups, these savings could add up.

Here is the average ticket price breakdown by day of the week:

Late summer emerges as the most cost-effective time to visit Disney World, with September being the least expensive month, offering an average one-day ticket price of just under $127.

This is approximately $45 less than February, which is identified as the most expensive month to visit.

🤓Nerdy Tip

Given that hurricane season peaks in late summer, it’s advisable to consider travel insurance. Look for a policy that covers trip cancellation, trip interruption, and delays, specifically for weather-related disruptions. If you have a travel credit card, check if it includes built-in travel protections, as you may not need to purchase a separate policy in some cases.

One advantage of visiting in August or September is experiencing Halloween vibes at a lower cost.

The most economical season to visit

Although winter is enchanting with holiday decorations and hot cocoa, it is also the most expensive season. Traveling in the summer, despite the Florida heat, can result in lower expenses.
