If you’re looking for a budget-friendly escape for the Fourth of July weekend, there are still plenty of low-cost flights and car rentals available, especially if you don’t mind the hot temperatures.

BW collaborated with Skyscanner to identify cities with affordable flights and car rentals for the summer holiday. Here are some of the cheapest airports to fly to for the July Fourth weekend in 2025:

1. Palm Springs, California – $138.03
2. Bozeman, Montana – $143.18
3. Hilo, Hawaii – $165.11
4. Buffalo, New York – $170.27
5. Savannah, Georgia – $172.83
6. Orlando, Florida – $180.62
7. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina – $180.62

These destinations offer low average round-trip fares during that period due to the hot temperatures, which can drive down demand. Make sure to check the weather before booking and plan activities that minimize outdoor exposure during peak heat.

Skyscanner also analyzed rental car prices to find cities with the lowest average daily rates for the same period. Here are some of the cheapest cities to rent a car, along with the average daily rental car rate for standard sedans:

1. Kissimmee, Florida – $54.64
2. Orlando, Florida – $66.15
3. Spokane, Washington – $66.47
4. Nashville, Tennessee – $68.39
5. Austin, Texas – $77.74

If you’re wondering where to go for July Fourth, consider destinations with a combination of cheap flights, hotels, discounts on food and lodging, and plenty of activities. Palm Springs, California; Bozeman, Montana; and Orlando, Florida are all great options for a budget-friendly and fun holiday weekend.

In Palm Springs, you can enjoy early-morning hikes in Indian Canyons, explore Mount San Jacinto State Park, and relax at rooftop pool cabanas. Bozeman offers outdoor adventures and proximity to national parks, while Orlando has attractions like SeaWorld and the Magic Kingdom.

Hilo, Hawaii, on the Big Island, provides a quieter and nature-focused escape with volcanic craters and rainforest hikes. Las Vegas, Nevada, offers affordable flights, car rentals, and plenty of free or low-cost entertainment options, including fireworks shows over the Strip and downtown.

To make the most of your rewards, consider using the Hilton Honors American Express Card for your travels. Check the rates and fees of the card to see if it aligns with your financial goals.
