The Walls Close In On Zelensky

Authored by James Rickards via DailyReckoning.com,

Ukraine’s President Zelensky is facing increasing pressure as he seeks NATO troops on the ground in his country.

During a meeting in Germany, Zelensky made the plea for NATO troops, a move that has been deemed as desperate and potentially dangerous.

“Our goal is to find as many instruments as possible to force Russia into peace. I believe that such deployment of partners’ contingents is one of the best instruments. Let’s be more practical in making it possible.”

This request, though not practical, highlights the dire situation in Ukraine and the escalating tensions with Russia.

President Trump has taken a firm stance on the issue, pointing out that NATO’s involvement in Ukraine has contributed to the conflict. He has also emphasized the need for Ukraine to make concessions to end the war.

As the conflict continues, the true cost in terms of lives lost is likely much higher than reported, with both Ukrainian and Russian casualties mounting.

Trump’s approach to resolving the conflict may be the key to ending the war, but it could come at a significant geopolitical cost.
