With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and automation, the global job market is experiencing significant changes.

A recent study by Visual Capitalist’s Marcus Lu has visualized the 15 fastest growing jobs projected from 2025 to 2030, based on a survey of employers worldwide.

Data & Discussion

The data used in this visualization is sourced from the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, which predicts net job growth between 2025 and 2030 based on a survey of over 1,000 global companies representing more than 14.1 million employees.

Big Data and AI Roles Are in High Demand

The fastest growing jobs include Big Data Specialists with a projected growth of 110% by 2030, followed by FinTech Engineers (95%) and AI and Machine Learning Specialists (85%). This highlights the need for professionals who can develop AI systems and analyze large datasets.

Software and Cybersecurity Remain Vital

Software and Applications Developers are still essential, with a projected growth rate of 60%. Cybersecurity roles such as Security Management Specialists (55%) and Information Security Analysts (40%) are also in demand as organizations seek to protect their data and infrastructure from evolving threats.

As businesses increasingly rely on digital platforms, investing in cybersecurity is crucial. According to IBM’s Cost of a Data Breach Report 2024, the global average cost of a data breach has risen to $4.9 million, underscoring the importance of robust cybersecurity measures.
