Interop Labs has made a generous donation of $1 million to the University of Waterloo to establish the cutting-edge GENESIS Lab. This research facility will focus on the exciting intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology. The initiative, part of the Computer Research Endowment at the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, is designed to promote collaboration between academia and industry, as well as attract top research talent through PhD and undergraduate fellowships. The GENESIS Lab will delve into scalable and secure distributed systems, in line with the global trends in AI and blockchain innovation.
