Orbit Plus by Velo is described as a self-custody wallet with private keys stored on the user’s device. The design caters to both new users and experienced participants in PayFi and tokenized RWA markets. The app features wallet creation and import functionalities, allowing users to swiftly begin or transfer. Upon launch, the app supports NOVA and BNB Smart Chain for token transactions.
Orbit Plus Facilitates Tokenized RWA and PayFi Settlement
Moreover, Orbit Plus seamlessly connects to Velo’s PayFi infrastructure for instant settlement and cost-effective cross-border transfers. It also enables swapping between tokenized RWAs, stablecoins, and fiat-linked value routes where applicable.
Furthermore, Velo announced a partnership between Orbit Plus and an RWA program developed in conjunction with EVOLVE and the Lightnet Group. The collaboration aims to tokenize income-generating real estate, alternative assets, and sustainable infrastructure projects to enhance accessibility and liquidity in the region.
By leveraging Lightnet’s licensed payment network, Orbit Plus is poised to support substantial settlement volumes and regional remittances. The platform also offers OTC trading for tokenized RWAs and a cash-out feature for digital wallets. Additionally, it integrates tokenized assets with regulated payment rails to optimize capital efficiency and enhance market transparency.
Velo’s vision includes expanding financial inclusion in emerging economies by reducing settlement barriers for smaller transfers. Future updates are expected to introduce additional chains and services. The app provides access to Velo ecosystem services, such as Omni Points and Velo Finance, through an in-app Web3 portal, streamlining user experience and enhancing functionality.
Additionally, plans are outlined for dashboards, quick-action shortcuts, and customizable versions for enterprise partners. Orbit Plus is positioned as a versatile tool for institutions, SMEs, and individuals requiring seamless settlement solutions across markets.
At the time of writing, VELO has experienced a 3.6% decrease, trading at $0.006877, with a market cap of $120.79 million and a 24-hour trading volume of $7.73 million.
