The Curio Collection, a part of Hilton’s portfolio, is a favorite hotel brand of mine. With over 200 independent hotels worldwide, I can enjoy a boutique-style stay while still reaping the benefits of my Hilton elite status and earning points for future stays. Unlike the typical cookie-cutter template of big hotel chains, Curio Collection offers upscale properties that reflect their unique locales, making them fun places to visit even when not staying at the hotel.
Brooke Thomas, Hilton’s brand leader for Curio Collection, emphasizes that “the hotel is the hero” at these properties, allowing them to maintain their individual characteristics while providing standard Hilton amenities like online check-in and digital keys. I have stayed at several Curio Collection properties and have compiled a list of ones I would book again using points, as well as some on my bucket list.
One property I recommend is LondonHouse Chicago, located along the Chicago River with a rooftop bar boasting stunning city views. Room rates can be high, but using Hilton points can be a fantastic option, with standard rooms typically priced at 75,000 points per night.
Another recommendation is the historic Hotel del Coronado near San Diego, offering beachfront luxury and a blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. Room rates can be steep, but award prices for standard rooms range from 100,000 to 110,000 points per night.
I am also excited about the upcoming Hale Hokuala Kaua’i property in Hawaii, accepting reservations for stays starting Oct. 1, 2026. With an outdoor pool and golf course, this property offers a unique Hawaiian experience with standard rooms priced at 120,000 points per night.
Additionally, the Royal Senses Resort and Spa in Crete and The Caledonian Edinburgh in Scotland are on my list of recommended properties for their stunning views, amenities, and historic charm. Both properties offer unique experiences and can be booked using Hilton points. Stay for five nights at The Trafalgar St. James and only pay for the price of four nights. following sentence:
