If you are searching for a top property with an amazing view or a super-chic living room, Airbnb has done some of the heavy lifting with its yearly roundup of the most wish-listed properties in its portfolio.

These won’t be the cheapest options, but they are residences that make a special trip even more remarkable. Airbnb lists one from each of the 50 U.S. states.

In addition, a recent Airbnb survey found that 86% of travelers are looking to visit a remote or rural destination, and many sites on the wish list are out of the way or almost off the grid.

We chose some unique listings in Airbnb’s lineup in different parts of the country. Maybe they will inspire you to swap a regular one-bedroom apartment with a tiny house, luxury treehouse or desert dome on your next domestic jaunt.

You’ll find waterfront homes, city-center condos and wilderness getaways in this part of the country. Some of our favorites, however, are in the middle of nowhere.

1. Stone City Treehouse with Sauna and Stream, Hardwick, Vermont

Elevated within the trees, this modern treehouse is a romantic retreat in the woods. There are indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a kitchenette and living room. It can sleep two people in loft-style beds and comes with access to a lovely forest sauna.

2. Cabin Hygge at Lumen Nature Retreat, Woodstock, New Hampshire

Tiny homes are the essence of simplicity, and when they are surrounded by nature, you can commune with your surroundings. The trend is so popular that Marriott Bonvoy even is getting in on the action with its Postcard Cabins, allowing you to earn or redeem points for a stay.

But if Airbnb is your jam, head to Cabin Hygge at Lumen Nature Retreat near Woodstock, New Hampshire. It’s a Nordic-style cabin with enough space to sleep four people comfortably and a bathhouse within walking distance. Halfway between camping and glamping, you can live in the forest comfortably. There’s a fire pit, and you can swim in the lake and use a nearby sauna al fresco.

In the middle of the country, Airbnb has some interesting listings from treehouses and vintage farm buildings to spaces designed by one of America’s most famous architects.

3. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Eppstein House, Galesburg, Michigan

Fans of architecture and design will love this place. As its name suggests, it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and features many of his signature, mid-century elements. Recently renovated to upgrade the interiors and plumbing, this is a real gem that Travel + Leisure ranked as the most unique in the state. All of its furnishings remain true to Wright’s original style.

4. Unique ‘Earthouse’ Retreat with Spring-Fed Creek, Springfield, Missouri

Grass, Plant, Architecture

Built into the surrounding earthen greenery of a suburban neighborhood, this modern home has sleek interiors that can sleep as many as eight people in three bedrooms. It has indoor and outdoor dining areas, a firepit, full kitchen, outdoor barbecue and an open-plan interior.

5. Elkview Lodge, Hermosa, South Dakota

You will be unplugged here: there’s no Wi-Fi. This hut is ideal for stargazers because there’s no light pollution from surrounding buildings. There is an outdoor terrace with a firepit, but no in-house bathroom or kitchen facility. This is a “roughing it” experience without having to sleep in a tent.

The outdoors reigns supreme in the South with floating homes and treehouses among the many options to rent.

6. Discover a one-of-a-kind Airbnb rental in Ransom Canyon, Texas – the Robert Bruno Steel House. This architectural marvel boasts curving windows that offer stunning views of the surrounding plains. With three bedrooms and a vibrant living room, you’ll feel like you’re staying in a futuristic spaceship. Enjoy all the comforts of home, including a full kitchen and laundry facilities, all within this awe-inspiring steel structure.

For a truly unique waterfront experience, check out the Key West Outpost in Key West, Florida. This private conch cottage floats along the waterways, powered by solar panels. Accommodating four guests in two bedrooms, this eco-vacation rental offers fresh air, onboard bathroom facilities, and easy access to water sports activities.

Head to Tetonia, Idaho, and step back in time at the Western Saloon Airbnb rental. Located on a 10-acre property in the Teton Valley, this charming saloon can accommodate four guests with its one bedroom and sofa bed. Take advantage of the whirlpool, pool table, and outdoor firepit while soaking in the picturesque views of the Tetons.

Experience the beauty of Zion National Park from the comfort of the Zion A-Frame rental in Hillsdale, Utah. This three-level A-frame cabin sleeps three guests and features a private terrace with stunning views. Enjoy a whirlpool, sauna access, and an indoor-outdoor bedroom with a wall that opens up to the outdoors. Just a short drive from Zion National Park, this rental offers a unique and relaxing retreat.

Whether you’re looking for a futuristic steel house, a floating eco-cottage, a Wild West saloon, or an A-frame cabin with mountain views, these Airbnb rentals offer unforgettable experiences in some of the most beautiful destinations in the United States. Experience something truly unique on your next vacation with these one-of-a-kind accommodations. sentence like this: Please rewrite the sentence.
