Chase Sapphire Lounge Phoenix: Small but Sleek

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) offers a food-truck-style dining experience and a bar with runway views. The lounge is relatively small at just 3,500 square feet, which may result in a waitlist during busy periods. In comparison, the Sapphire Lounge LaGuardia spans two stories and accommodates up to 269 people, while the Chase Sapphire Lounge San Diego features a treatment room for complimentary facials in its 10,000-square-foot space. The Phoenix lounge primarily offers food and drink amenities without many additional perks.

Guests can access the lounge with the Chase Sapphire Reserve® card, which provides complimentary access for the cardholder and up to two guests. The lounge was opened in November 2024 and is located in Terminal 4 South 1 (S1) Concourse at PHX. Travelers moving between Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 via the PHX Sky Train will need to clear security twice if flying out of Terminal 3 and wanting to access the lounge.

Chase cards that offer unlimited Sapphire lounge visits include the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve cards, which allow two free guests per visit, with additional guests costing $75 each. Ritz-Carlton cardholders can bring unlimited guests. Priority Pass members not enrolled through the aforementioned cards receive one complimentary visit to a Chase Sapphire Lounge per calendar year, with subsequent visits costing $75 each.

The lounge’s design features blue and gold accents, with a large art piece by Navajo Nation artist Matthew Kirk. It includes a water vapor fireplace, an Airstream RV food truck, and a bar overlooking the runway. The lounge’s unconventional design flows into the terminal, offering an open atmosphere but potentially compromising on exclusivity. The lounge also features individual bathrooms with no showers, well-stocked with toiletries.

Food and drink options include locally-inspired cocktails, small plates, and a variety of dietary options. The lounge provides a boutique feel with a focus on aesthetics. While the lounge may feel limiting during peak times, it offers a refined and cohesive aesthetic compared to its competitors. Travelers accessing the lounge via Priority Pass should consider the lounge’s size and amenities before deciding to visit.
