Russia Captures Several More Villages In Eastern & Southern Ukraine

Russian forces have continued their advance into villages in eastern and southern Ukraine over the weekend, despite President Trump’s attempts to bring all parties to the negotiating table.

On Saturday, Russia’s defense ministry announced the capture of Shchebraki in the southern Zaporizhzhia region and Panteleimonivka in the eastern Donetsk region. The capture of these villages is part of Russia’s ongoing military campaign in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has condemned Russia’s actions, stating that they are undermining peacekeeping efforts globally. He also criticized Russia for escalating drone strikes, which have resulted in civilian casualties, including a pregnant woman in Dnipro.

On Sunday, another key village near Ukraine’s central Dnipropetrovsk region fell to Russian forces. This marks a significant advancement for Russia, as this boundary had remained untouched for over three years of conflict.

In addition to these advances, there are reports of fighting breaking out in Russia’s Belgorod region, where Ukrainian forces have reportedly made incursions.

The situation in Ukraine has caused tensions between Washington and Kiev, with the New York Times reporting on disagreements over military operations. The Times highlighted a breach of trust between the two parties, as Ukrainian troops allegedly crossed into Russian territory with coalition-supplied equipment without informing the Americans.

Overall, the conflict in Ukraine continues to escalate, with Russian forces making significant gains in the region. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing military operations and diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis.
